KG drives first pile for new building during Open Day

During KG’s sunny and well-attended Open Day celebrating its 50th anniversary, the ceremonial first pile was driven for the company's new building on Leeuwenhoekweg in Bergschenhoek.

Construction on the new facility—which will nearly triple KG’s built-up area—has already been underway for some time. However, at 2:30 PM on Saturday, a special moment was held to mark the milestone. In front of a large crowd of visitors, a countdown was held, after which 13-year-old Nardo Greeve had the honor of activating the pile driver.

The ceremonial "first pile" was painted green and purple for the occasion and adorned with the company logos.
