Iraq introduces vertical farming to boost agricultural efficiency

Iraq's Ministry of Agriculture has announced plans to implement vertical farming as part of efforts to optimize land use and reduce reliance on chemical fertilizers.

Deputy Agriculture Minister Mahdi Sahar told the state-run Iraqi News Agency (INA) that the technique involves growing crops in stacked layers, using hydroponics and aeroponics instead of soil.
