ErfGoed contributes to sustainable expansion of Butterfly Orchids

ErfGoed will soon begin work on a major project for Butterfly Orchids. The new greenhouse, covering over 6 hectares and located in Andel, will be equipped with the ErfGoedFloor. In addition, Butterfly Orchids has opted for ErfGoed’s complete water system, including irrigation, silos, and a reservoir. This combination of floor and water system creates a closed-loop system for orchid cultivation.

“We’re proud to contribute to the future-proof expansion of Butterfly Orchids with our systems,” says Arjan van Dam, Area Sales Manager at ErfGoed.

The installation of the water system ensures that all water is collected and reused. This not only results in significant cost savings but also promotes sustainable use of water resources in cultivation. “Thanks to this closed-loop system, we can manage water more efficiently and meet increasingly stringent environmental regulations,” says Gerben van Giessen, owner of Butterfly Orchids. With this investment, Butterfly Orchids takes a major step toward more sustainable cultivation.

“We look forward to a successful partnership and a great end result,” Van Dam concludes.
