The new Dümmen Orange series is perfect for early sales

Early flowering in nine intense colors and color combinations – that’s just one of the many qualities that put the new Fuchsia series from Dümmen Orange right at center stage. The Ballerina® varieties have plenty more attractive characteristics that make them destined for stardom in production and for the end customer.

Top dancers on the annuals stage

Fuchsia hybrids are popular annuals that come in a huge range of varieties. For the producer looking to offer something really special, Ballerina® is the perfect choice. Ballerina® is a strong, day-neutral series consisting of nine coordinated, attractive single and double-flowered varieties with fresh new color combinations in red and white, red and violet, right through to pink and violet.

Naturally compact

The focus in breeding these Fuchsia was on traits that would appeal to both producers and end customers. The new series was selected for day-neutral flowering. In addition, Ballerina® varieties combine early to medium-early flowering and medium-sized flowers with a well-branching habit. Being compact plants, they need little in the way of plant growth regulators. This benefits producers across the board, with good savings to be made on production and labor costs.

For container or hanging basket production

Ballerina® varieties can be obtained as unrooted cuttings (URC) from weeks 42 to 12 and as rooted cuttings (RC) from weeks 46 to 16and are suited for production in 9 to 13 cm pots. These new Fuchsia varieties are available as semi-trailing, semi-upright and upright plants.

Promising potential

The Ballerina® series is perfect for the cultivation of early-flowering Fuchsia – and therefore for a promising market with high sales potential. Production over winter takes around 18-20 weeks, and in spring they can be grown in as little as 8-10 weeks. So the first flowering batches for the POS can be ready as early as mid-March!

Exceptional talents waiting in the wings

The exceptional young talents in this new Fuchsia series are waiting in the wings to present their stunning performances on the balcony, the terrace or in the flower bed. The single varieties bloom reliably and persistently from April to August and attract bees and other pollinators. And this throughout the entire season! Consumers can look forward to nine new Fuchsia varieties that make for attractive plantings early in the year.

In short: Ballerina® varieties are stars in every respect and have more than earned their place in our cultivation program!
