The U.S., RAPID CITY, S.D. - Nature lovers in Rapid City have a lot to be excited about as the city’s newest greenhouse opens Tuesday, April 29.

City crews have already begun transplanting approximately 21,000 flowers, including 5,000 flowers raised from seed, at the new greenhouse. Rapid City Parks and Recreation Greenhouse Specialist John Berglund says a new greenhouse was long overdue. The new greenhouse has more space, allows for better weather control, and will help city employees fill local parks with beautiful flowers with ease.
