The German state of Brandenburg will have the privilege of hosting the 10th edition of the International Cannabis Business Conference in the nations’ capital, timed perfectly with Germany’s recent legalization bill which became active this month.

Being Europe’s largest and longest running cannabis B2B conference, this year's conference is particularly special due to the recent legislative changes regarding the status of marijuana in Europe’s economic powerhouse. As such, it goes without saying that ICBC 2024 will offer an unparalleled platform for networking, learning, and showcasing products and services in the cannabis sector in a new age of the European medical and recreational cannabis market, with over 5,000 investors, entrepreneurs, policy makers and service providers from more than 80 countries gathering in Berlin to share their expertise in various areas of the hemp game.

Given the context of Germany’s recent legalization of adult-use cannabis and the global trends in the industry, the International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC) Berlin 2024 is likely to cover a range of important topics such as global cannabis policy trends, medical cannabis innovations, medical cannabis research, consumer trends, market dynamics and, most importantly, the impact of adult-use legalization in Germany.

This years’ speakers include Barinder Bhullar, senior vice president of corporate affairs at Brains Bioceutical Corp, Lisa Haag, founder of Germany’s MJ_Universe and Jeremy Youness, the international commercial sales & cannabis cultivation specialist at FOHSE, along with a range of important figures from the medical cannabis field including True Terpenes Head of Research and Toxicology Dr. Shawna Vreeke, Professor Dr. Tamara Lah Turmšek from the Slovenian National Institute of Biology and Dr. Markus Roggen, the founder of Controlled Chemistry and a valuable contributor to medical marijuana research.

One interesting feature of this years’ venue is that it will be co-hosted with the Talman Global Investment Forum, an influential gathering designed specifically for investors within the burgeoning global cannabis industry. Scheduled for April 15, 2024, just before the flagship ICBC event, this forum takes place at the iconic Adlon Kempinski hotel in the heart of the German capital. Aiming to connect investors with vetted companies in the sector, this is a great chance for companies to put themselves out there and hopefully find the necessary support to make it big in an industry where new markets and segments are continually developing. On top of that, The forum provides timely educational content delivered by industry experts. These sessions are designed to keep participants informed about the latest trends, regulations, and market dynamics within the global cannabis industry with speakers typically including a blend of industry insiders, financial experts, and regulatory figures such as founder & CEO of Hyde Advisory & Investments David Hyde and Ricardo Geada, a seasoned legal expert specialized in cannabis regulation. The timing of the Talman Global Investment Forum is strategic, occurring right after Germany's historic legalization of adult-use cannabis. This creates a unique environment for the forum, as it provides a real-time case study of a major market undergoing significant regulatory change. Investors attending the forum can gain insights into the implications of such legislative developments and identify potential investment avenues that could arise from Germany's evolving market.

Moving on to the main event, the expo will follow shortly between the 16th and 17th of April at the Estrel Berlin Hotel, with various other key players in the global medical cannabis sector, such as Little Green Pharma, Canopy Medical and AceCann, being eager to share and accumulate knowledge from the convention.

The ICBC Berlin and the Talman Global Investment Forum in 2024 represent unparalleled opportunities for cannabis enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the forefront of industry developments. The combination of high-caliber networking, extensive educational offerings, exposure to new market opportunities, and engagement in historical industry shifts makes these events particularly beneficial. Whether you are looking to advance your knowledge, expand your business, or simply connect with the heart of the cannabis movement, these conferences provide the perfect venue to achieve those goals, setting a foundation for future success in the evolving cannabis landscape.
