Future leaders at Mastercourse Floriculture 2024

Future leaders at Mastercourse Floriculture 2024

Pro Manager Mastercourse Floriculture takes place from 15 - 26 January 2024. Following a very successful edition in January 2023, Jungle Talks partners again with leading floricultural suppliers in organizing its Pro Manager Mastercourse Floriculture from 15 – 26 January, 2023. In addition, Jungle Talks teams up for the third time with AIPH in organizing the ‘Young International Grower of the Year Award’ during the IPM in Essen. The Mastercourse serves as the exclusive pre-selection tool for this award.

‘We soon have an anniversary coming up!’ says Ed Smit of Jungle Talks. In 2024 we’ll be facilitating Mastercourses for 10 years. Many of our alumni are still connected and starting next year, we will be organizing Mastercourse Alumni events around the globe, aimed exclusively at our former participants. Renee Snijders adds: ‘’We often hear that meeting peers from other countries is no doubt the biggest added value of the Mastercourse, and after 10 years that hasn’t changed at all. There’s still an enormous appetite for knowledge and for networking, not only when it comes to horticultural technology, but also regarding leadership, sustainable production and how to be future proof.’

‘The selection process for our upcoming Mastercourse Floriculture is now in full swing. We’re looking for future floricultural leaders between 25-40 years old from around the globe. We hope to welcome more participants from Asia this year, but also European candidates. Each candidate has a minimum of 5 years working experience in a leading position at a future proof producer of ornamentals. Selected participants can, if interested, also participate in the final selection process of the Young International Grower of the Year’, says Ed.

The Pro Manager Mastercourse Floriculture partners with Koppert, Dümmen Orange, Ridder, Hortilux Schrèder, Logiqs, Lets Grow, Visser Horti Systems, Klasmann – Deilmann, Flora Media and Van Krimpen.
‘We are very proud these leading companies and organizations work together to support and inspire our groups,’ says Renee. ‘These partnerships guarantee a high level visit program and give participants ample opportunity to network at CEO level with leading floricultural suppliers.’
During the course, participants will work out their own vision on the future of floriculture and the role they intend to play in that future as leading entrepreneurs.

Floricultural managers from around the globe are welcome to apply before September 30, but send in your application soon, because we can only select 15 participants. Your application is followed by a selection procedure. If selected, participation to the Pro Manager Master Course costs 1.250 Euro. This includes all meals, entrance fees, professional guidance and transport during the Mastercourse. In addition, you pay for your own travel costs to the Netherlands and lodging.

More information on the program can be downloaded here, including the interactive registration form on the final page. To get a first impression, check out this short video that was made of the 2023 edition.
