Effective control of soil-borne diseases with Trianum

Trianum is based on the unique fungus Trichoderma harzianum T-22 and protects plants against various soil-borne pathogens such as Pythium, Fusarium, Rhizoctonia and Sclerotinia. Additionally, Trianum increases the plant’s resistance to stress caused by diseases and suboptimal conditions in nutrition, water and climate.

‘The efficacy of Trianum is comparable to that of a chemical fungicide, but whereas chemicals put stress on the plant, Trianum makes the plant more resilient to stress. Healthier root systems improve the uptake of water and nutrients and helps the plants’ growth’ explains Paolo Banzato, Product Manager at Koppert.

How does Trianum work?

After applying Trianum, the fungus rapidly starts to grow. It creates a barrier around the roots to protect the plant from soil-borne diseases, while competing for food and space. Trianum actively attacks fungal pathogens by breaking down their cell walls.

But there is more. This unique product also supports plant growth and uniformity. This keeps your plants healthy and strong.

Easy and safe to apply

Trianum can be easily included in your IPM strategy. Paolo: ‘Trianum does not require any special application equipment. It is available in two different formulations to match various application systems used by growers. You can spray or add Trianum-P to an irrigation system or apply Trianum-G to the soil or in the furrow using a granulator’. Another significant advantage of Trianum is that it is safe to use.
