Enza Zaden acquires Balk Wervershoof B.V.

As of 8 February 2024, Enza Zaden has acquired Balk Wervershoof B.V. (Balk Wervershoof). Balk Wervershoof is a GSPP-certified greenhouse horticulture company (GSPP: Good Seed & Plant Practices) that has been producing tomato, cucumber and sweet pepper seeds exclusively for Enza Zaden for almost sixty years. With the expansion of its production capacity, Enza Zaden will be able to continue to meet a growing demand for high quality vegetable seeds.

Jaap Mazereeuw, CEO of Enza Zaden: ″We have enjoyed working with Balk Wervershoof for a long time. The company produces high quality seeds and employs highly experienced and skilled employees.
