The global coronavirus pandemic continues to cause shuffling among a handful of greenhouse industry events. Here are some of the latest updates. Note: last updated May 17.

AmericanHort has opted to transform Cultivate’20 into an online event the week of July 13. Cultivate’20 Virtual will debut the week of July 13. More details to come about how visiting the trade show and attending educational sessions and other events will work.

Darwin Perennials Days Goes Digital

Darwin Perennials has repositioned its annual Darwin Perennials Day from a single-day event to a week-long schedule of virtual education and activities. Darwin Digital Days will run Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, and will include opportunities for virtual tours of its Zone 5 perennial gardens in The Gardens at Ball; educational opportunities with key perennial suppliers; interactive keynote speakers; and more chances to ask questions and get answers on the newest genetics in the perennial industry.

The United Fresh Produce Association has made its 2020 Conference a virtual event, featuring three days of enhanced networking experiences.

Griffin Greenhouse Expos Going Virtual

The Griffin Virtual Expo 2020 will be a live-streamed, two-day event that allows growers and retailers to view video presentations, attend educational sessions, and more.

Indoor Ag-Con

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 impact, the 2020 edition of Indoor Ag-Con, which had been scheduled for May 18-20 in Las Vegas, has been postponed and will be rescheduled to run later this year.

Organizers are actively working to secure new 2020 dates and will announce them as soon as they are finalized.

“Ensuring the safety of our exhibitors, speakers, attendees, and customers is our primary focus,” organizers noted in a statement on the Indoor Ag-Con website. “We are following the suggestions of the U.S. and state public health guidelines as they are developing. Our team is continuing to monitor the situation.”

International Floriculture Expo

The International Floriculture Expo, which was originally planned for June 9-11 in Miami Beach, FL, has been rescheduled for Sept. 15-17, 2020.

“Please look for important follow-up communications from Diversified and our vendors with details relating to the rescheduled event,” says Bob Callahan, Group Vice President of Diversified Communications, which organizes the expo. “To provide maximum flexibility to our customers, Diversified expects to offer registrants the choice of rolling over payments for the International Floriculture Expo Education Day and Expo Pass to the rescheduled 2020 event.”
