Growtech has opened!

TURKEY - The global brand of Turkish agriculture and the world’s biggest exhibition in greenhouse industry, Growtech 19 th International Greenhouse, Agricultural Technology and Livestock Equipment Fair is opened to visit on the venue of 50.000 sqm at Antalya Expo Center between November 27 and 30.

 The fair features 5 categories as “Greenhouse and Irrigation Technologies”, “Seed”, “Plant

Nutrition and Protection”, “Agricultural Machinery” and “Livestock Equipment”.


Mr. Engin Er, Growtech Exhibition Director made a statement about Growtech 2019: “This year

Growtech has more than 850 exhibitor brands from 32 countries and we are getting prepared to

welcome more than 90.000 international visitors from over 130 countries. The Netherlands, Spain,

China, Korea, Egypt and Africa has been exhibiting as country pavilions. The Hosted Buyer Program

is organized in coordination with the Turkish Ministry of Commerce and in organization with the

West Mediterranean Exporters Union (BAIB) to host representatives from Greece, Moldova, Sudan,

Tunisia and Jordan. Moreover, numerous events will keep exhibitors and visitors posted about the

latest developments in agricultural industry throughout the fair including Agricultural Talks and 12 th

ATSO Growtech Agricultural Innovation Awards”.

Mr. Engin Er underlined the fact that our country, exporting 1.700 varied agricultural products to

199 countries, ranks the largest economy in the European Union and 7th around the world and

continued: “We have the agricultural potential and food capacity of nourishing our national

population of 90 million plus 60 million tourists in 2023 and to raise the export income of 40 billion

dollars with a production volume more than 200 billion dollars. Growtech believes that Turkey, with

its quantum leap in agriculture, will multiply by folds the number of cooperated countries and

export values thanks to Growtech”.


Growtech will also be the homeland of major developments in agriculture industry worldwide.

Offering new opportunities to manufacturers for the future of Turkish greenhouse cultivation from

a professional point of view, TK Sera A.S., a subsidiary of the Central Union of the Agricultural Credit

Cooperatives of Turkey made debut at Growtech and has been introduced to producers at Antalya

Expo Center between November 27-30. Dr. Sedat Citak, Intake & Production manager for Plant

Production, TK SERA A.Ş. presented important statements about “Contractual Agriculture” at


Growtech Conference Hall on November 27 and Mr. Abdulsamed Ciftci, Project & Investment

Manager, TK SERA A.S. addressed “Greenhouse Installation” on November 28.

Agricultural Talks organized on November 28, featuring “The Potential of Turkish Agriculture and

Future Opportunities”, attracting great interest by the industry, will be attended by Mr. Davut Cetin

- President of ATSO (the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Mr. Ali Çandır - President of

(ATB) Antalya Commodity Exchange, Mr. Hakki Bahar- the President of West Mediterranean

Exporters Union (BAIB) and Mr. Halil Kozan - the President of the Greenhouse Construction,

Equipment and Hardware Manufacturers’ and Exporters’ Association (SERKONDER) as speakers.

Growtech keeps supporting innovative works that raise industrial awareness and adding value to

agricultural production with 12 th ATSO Growtech Agricultural Innovation Award organized in

coordination with the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry and 4 th Plant Breeding Project

Market awards, organized in cooperation with Akdeniz University – Technology Transfer Office.

ATSO Growtech Agricultural Innovation Awards has been granted in the presence of Mr. Davut

Cetin, ATSO President and Mr. Savas Akcan, TURKTOB CEO on November 28 while Plant Breeding

Project Market awards will be given during a ceremony to be organized at fairground on November
