You will be working with a specialist team in a breeding programme. The work is varied and is carried out in the field, glasshouse and office. You will focus on the practical aspects of plant breeding and we will provide you with an own subject to work out fully. A breeder is responsible for generating varieties, creation and selecting the parental lines and testing trial hybrids. This job needs high organisation skills and continuous drive to improvements. We will periodically discuss the development during this training period and will seek to achieve good outcomes and high motivation. Then we will move on to the next step of finalising which Crop Team with a vacancy you would further be an accountable member of.
We are looking for a candidate who has recently completed a study as Agricultural/Genetic Engineer (BSc, MSc or PhD) at university level with high interest in plant breeding and genetics. Preferably you participated in an (Erasmus) exchange programme. You need to have a high level of the English and preferably a current driving licence. This job is at our breeding station in Antalya -Turkey.
