Our customer is an internationally operating Dutch company specializing in breeding, production and sales of vegetable seeds. Quality of the product is highly important. With highly motivated and committed staff, they are working globally on the further growth of this innovative company. 

A wide range of activities are carried out at the department of seedlings and seed production, among other things for seed propagation. Due to the further development of the greenhouse industry in Noord-Holland, a vacancy has been created for a Team Leader Crop Care (full time). 

Job description

In this varied function, you are responsible for the operational and professional management of a team of crop workers in the seed crops, within the framework specified by the manager. As a team leader in crop care, you should lead your employees in an inspiring and coaching manner. You are aware that an energetic and effective team can work in a quality and cost-conscious manner. Together with your employees, you carry out various activities aimed at making crossings and multiplying seeds for the development of new varieties of vegetable crops. In addition, you are responsible for the daily and long term planning and registration of cultivation measures. In this function you report directly to the crop care manager. 

Job requirements

You are in possession of a completed MBO-4 degree program and you have professional knowledge in the field of agriculture. In addition, you gained some years of experience in a managerial position. You feel comfortable working with complex machines and installations. Of course you have excellent communication skills, you are a true team player, result-oriented, accurate and initiative-rich. Finally, automated systems do not have any secrets for you.
