Purpose of the position
As a result of an increase in international activities, in Asia in particular, we are looking for candidates for the expansion of their Advisory Division on behalf of the company. As an International Cultivation Advisor for the regions of Asia and parts of the Netherlands, you are responsible for advising and training the growers in your area in the cultivation of your plant products. The customers you visit in Asia and the Netherlands for advice and support in cultivation will often be young plant breeders.
In this exciting and challenging position, you are constantly looking for ways to improve the results of this audience by supporting them in optimizing their cultivation methods. You will see the needs of support among these growers and translate them into plans to make this support efficient, measurable and followable.
In addition to advising growers, you also provide training for the employees of our customers at the young plant companies. The purpose of this is to share knowledge so that they can in turn advise Growers of their customers in the cultivation of your company's products. In view of this advice and training, you will visit your customers in East Asia (China and Japan) on a regular basis.
To maintain and strengthen your own knowledge and to share your experiences, keep in close contact with colleagues and breeders at the headquarters in the Netherlands.
You are trained in horticulture with a minimum of 5-10 years relevant work experience in cultivation and/or similar functions. You have good communication skills and a good command of English (understanding, speaking and writing). You are used to business trips and able to bring the customers and their growers/growers to a higher quality level by transferring knowledge and experience. You have a commercial attitude and have problem solving skills. You are results-oriented, take initiative and you can work well alone, independently. You are experienced with IT systems and the use of internet and social media. The latter because it is used by the company as an instrument for communicating with your customers and maintaining your network. Traveling will take about 50% of your available working hours.
