Field Research Manager, Germany

Selecta one is a world-leader in breeding, producing and marketing of vegetatively propagated ornamental plants. Our breeding activities include bedding and balcony plants, pot plants, perennials and cut flowers. With eleven breeding, production and distribution sites the corporate group serves all relevant markets worldwide.

For our headquarters in Stuttgart (Germany) we are currently looking for a Field Research Manager (m/w) for the area of production.

Area of responsibility

You are responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of trials within the production process. You research test-relevant topics and coordinate with the departments product development and with the mother plant farms. Your tasks will include crop management, the implementation of cultivation measures as well as the organisation of the workflows. In this function, you contribute actively towards the optimisation of existing and introduction of new products.

Your profile

You should possess an University degree in the areas of cultivation of ornamental plants, biology (bachelor/master degree) or a comparable educational attainment. Ideally, you will already have professional experience in cultivation of ornamental plants and/or experimentation. Your strengths include independence and the needed level of detail. You enjoy working on complex tasks, you are motivated, and you would like to work in an international environment. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of MS Office and a good command of English.
