Codema celebrates 10 years in China

Codema is celebrating its 60 years of existence at the end of this year and at the same time, its 10th year in China. The past decade resulted in several projects in the field of efficient cultivation and water management systems in China.

The Organizer of Horti China interviewed Codema’s Commercial Director Gideon de Jager to share their experience in China. “From our experience, we value the Chinese business opportunities and current developments very highly. China is developing the horticulture market in an extremely fast pace and is ready to adopt advanced Dutch technology in a correct manner. Actually, we value our Chinese partners and opportunities so much that we will set up an after-sales office to support the market development. Like this we can be close to our partners and customers to provide an even better service.”

“China is ready for developing projects on such a large scale that wouldn’t be possible in the Dutch market. We encourage this by supporting wherever we can. Furthermore, we stress the importance of safe, healthy and sustainable food while growing more with less resources, and are happy to see the broad attention this gets nowadays.

Many of our projects were realized together with our local partners and are always a form of two-way communication in which we can learn from each other. Projects only become successful with good communication and partnerships. We design, develop and deliver our pre-manufactured solution, where our local partners help us with the installation. Together with our skilled supervisors we are able to provide a turn-key project for our customers. After the commissioning we’ll provide training to be sure to get the best results with our systems.”

After Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Dutch Premier Ruth jointly witnessed the signing of the cooperation agreement, Dutch Greenhouse Delta gave shape to partnership with Jiashan Sino-Dutch Industrial Park via strategic memorandum. The Chinese High-Tech Agriculture Park with Horti Center is a great initiative, according to Codema. It demonstrates the close partnership between China and the Netherlands and also the necessary co-operation within the sector.

Codema joined Horti China 2018, taking a 36 sqm booth (Booth No. 2HE015) in the Holland Pavilion. Horti China was held on Nov. 21st-23rd, at the National Exhibition & Conference Center in Hongqiao, Shanghai. With more than 400 exhibitors and 20,000 sqm in total, Horti China connected China with the world-wide horticulture business of fresh vegetables, fruits and flowers.
